Résumé and Recommendations

Justin has always impressed me with his musicianship and excellent technical skills. I would like to mention in particular his luscious tone and good intonation. They are wonderful qualities to have as a performer and as a fine leader in orchestral playing. As a person, he is sensitive, responsible and meets people with a friendly attitude which I like and admire.

-Maestro Luis Biava, Assistant Conductor Emeritus of The Philadelphia Orchestra, former Principal Second Violin of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

"Justin’s playing is always naturally musical, his tone is radiant and focused. Justin is a role model for my students, demonstrating talent, musical sensitivity, diligence, independence, drive and perseverance. His qualities as a person reinforce his beautiful cello playing. Justin is exceptionally mature, intelligent, organized and disciplined."

-Professor Jeffrey Solow, former teacher, President of the New York Cello Society and president-elect of The American String Teacher Association.

"Justin is a remarkable young man with great leadership potential. This guy has success written all over him. Possessing boundless energy and enthusiasm, he simply exudes friendliness and optimism. Moreover, he is highly disciplined and extremely well organized; thus, I believe there is true leadership potential. I could very easily see him running some type of musical orgnization some day because of his very fine people skills and administrative sense, should he choose to do so. Finally, this young man has something that many young people do not: conviction.  Justin Lewis is quite simply one of the very best."

-Dr. Steven Kreinberg, Former Associate Dean, Temple University's Boyer College of Music

"Justin is a very intense and self-directed person. I would describe him as being on fire right now with his thirst for music. His musicianship always seems to be in a steep upward trajectory. It is always refreshing working with someone who is like a sponge."

-Cellist, Nancy Baun (in an interview with the Harrisburg Patriot News)

  Dear Mr. Lewis,

Thank you so much for being the best teacher we have ever had. Thank you for your positive energy. You exude it. No matter what happen along the way, you found an easy solution. Your commitment and generosity far exceeded our expectations we had in terms of taking music for the firs time.

We are envious of your positive energy. That is what we know for sure sets you apart from other
teachers. It is so obvious to us that you are blessed with the gift of teaching. You have an extraordinary talent of making all who you touch feel good. I hope you use your gift in all your endeavors and are able to touch many more lives.

You will truly be missed by our entire family. We wish we had more time with you. We feel lucky to have had you be a part of our lives.

With lots of love,

Toby, Asher and Julie Johnson
